Vintage cake decorating books and vintage cake mix advertisements have been some of our favorite sources of inspiration right from the start.
And cakes are easily our fave subject matter...the chocolate frosting is especially fun to paint, and of course - it's super easy on the eyes!
We wanted this one to be a classic cake just like you see in your favorite vintage cake decorating books. Rich chocolate frosting set against golden cake with buttercream piping and big pink piped roses on top.
This plaque measures approx. 11" x 10.5" on a 1/2" thick wooden plaque. Signed, dated and ready to hang with a sawtooth bracket on back.
Each is made from a high quality print of our original painting, and we add tons of hand painted details to every single plaque so that no two are the same. The sides of each plaque are hand painted as well, creating a dimensional fully finished appearance.
