This painting was inspired by our love for the illustrations from vintage recipe books...and just the classic sweets that are baked every day in authentic vintage style bakeries. When we first started painting sweets a long time ago it was totally a therapeutic experience...and to this day...it still is. For us, paintings of sweets aren't to be singled out as artwork for the kitchen or bakery walls...nope, sweets are the same as portraits of pretty girls or beautiful landscapes.
